Meet The Artist
Born and raised on the sun kissed shores of Western Australia, days were enveloped in a salty tranquil coastal lifestyle. I have been drawing and painting for enjoyment ever since I can remember and in the early days only for family and friends.
Later in life exploring the Kimberley region, the rugged beauty and seduction of the wilderness brought me to a place I felt connected and drawn to, bringing a peace and a sense of being at home. The Kimberley stole my heart and so began my professional art journey.
From the comfort of my dining room table with 3 small children under foot and my husbands support, my first paintings emerged that would eventually be my first public sales.
I built my business up slowly keeping my integrity by being honest and ethical. Learning a lot about my brand and direction along the way. I would call myself a self taught artist as I have limited formal training, preferring to paint by instinct, feeling my way through the process. I have delved into almost all mediums, my preferred medium being acrylic.
Today I work from a small studio, painting most days while running the everyday logistics of being self employed. Spare time is immersed in the soul of the outback, camping , hiking, fishing and being surrounded by the powerful and majestic Kimberley.
My name is Lisa Campbell and I live in a remote town at the top end of Western Australia, Kununurra. It’s this small community past and present that I am eternally grateful for their continued support. I am very passionate about the West Coast and hope to be painting it for many years to come.
